I am really disappointed by unethical sales practice of Mr. Ajay Sarode. I called him up after being referred by a friend for water softener installation. He visited my home, and after inspection, started discussing the price. My friend had mentioned he had got the same installed for 20,000. But Mr. Sarode said the prices have increased and quoted 28,000 + installation. After negotiating, I agreed for 25,000 including installation and paid the amount. I even called a friend who was interested, and he paid too.
After he went back, and when I confirmed the terms, he denied agreeing for installation being included. I knew he was taking advantage of being paid upfront, but as I didn't had much choice, I didn't say anything. But later on, when the product got delivered, I checked the MRP, and it was 25,000 for which Mr. Sarode quoted 28,000 to start the discussion. I was shocked to see this level of mis-selling. I messaged Mr. Sarode about the incident, and he tried giving vague reasons, that No the MRP is higher, and correct one is not printed on the box. Later on he sent a glass cleaner to compensate probably. But we never discussed for this 200 bucks glass cleaner.
Mr. Sarode, you may have made a couple of thousand extra by this dubious practice, but I assure you, your loss is bigger than mine. As two of my friends were also looking for this, to whom I strictly said not to deal with you. I am also forwarding my experience with you in the society WhatsApp group, so that the 700 flats are aware of your practices. And lastly I am going to file a complaint with 3M first and then with consumer forum, that how can you raise a bill of 26,500 for a product with MRP 25,000.
